Responsibilities

The Contribution You\'ll bring to this Role: The Supervisor leads by example and supervises all manufacturing activities, including scheduling jobs in production, supervising production workers in all departments, and ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

Responsibilities include understanding what motivates team members to grow and excel, working with minimal supervision while following all health and safety standards, and contributing to overall performance and success of the business.

You will report to the Operations Manager, with potential for advancement within 3–5 years based on contributions to organizational goals.

What You\'ll Do at Justrite

  • Communicate with specific directions and procedures to follow in carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Monitor on-site production activities to ensure compliance with standards of operations, ethics, and safety procedures.
  • Guide the team to ensure production efficiency and quality.
  • Acknowledge contributions and encourage collaboration, idea sharing, and positive working relationships during production tasks.
  • Ensure completed products meet quality standards before moving to the next area.
  • Manage the production schedule and coordinate processing of orders to optimize workflow.
  • Maintain operational quality and cost objectives while meeting on-time delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all workers have proper safety gear and clothing before performing work.
  • Assist with interviewing and selecting new hires, terminating employees, and disciplinary actions as needed; fill in on a job when an employee is absent.

Your Skills and Expertise

To ensure your success from day one, the following qualifications are required at a minimum:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, lead, and motivate others
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite, for production data analysis

Additional qualifications that could help include:

  • Manage workforce size, hours, attendance, and time off to meet production schedules
  • Follow safe work practices for yourself and the team at all times
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes
  • Ability to write reports clearly and accurately
  • Strong organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Promote a flexible team environment with job rotation and cross-training
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic
  • Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering technology, or related field

Compensation

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $68,000 to $75,000. Actual base salaries will vary based on location, relevant experience, and performance. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on Justrite Safety Group and business unit targets.
