Travel RN Job Details – Lakewood, Colorado

• Location: Lakewood, CO 80228 – Suburban Denver area with mountain views and access to Colorado healthcare facilities
• Healthcare Setting: GI Lab / Endoscopy Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 1/31/2026)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7:00am – 5:30pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend every 4 weeks
• On-Call: One night per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2210 - $2370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or Compact Registered Nurse License
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (Bronchoscopy experience required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Ability to float to other CommonSpirit Health locations within 60 miles as needed

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs in the GI Lab / Endoscopy setting
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic nursing interventions including IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
• Educate patients and families, evaluate learning outcomes, and advocate for patient safety and rights
• Deliver compassionate, relationship-based care with respect for cultural diversity and patient preferences
• Delegate appropriate tasks to non-RN personnel according to hospital policy and Colorado nursing regulations
• Serve as a professional role model, mentor new nursing staff, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate professional records and continuously evaluate and improve nursing practice
