Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Troy, NY. Join our healthcare team in a state-of-the-art emergency department, delivering critical care to patients during night shifts.
Emergency Room RN Job Details
- Location: Troy, NY 12180 (New York Capital District)
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ER)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,260 per week
- Start Date: October 26, 2025
- End Date: January 24, 2026
- Employment Type: Travel nursing
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, health statement, immunizations)
- Strong clinical skills and ability to excel in a high-acuity, fast-paced ER environment
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to patients in the ER
- Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid interventions for diverse medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document nursing care accurately
- Respond to critical emergencies and deliver life-saving interventions
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
