Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgeries
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Epic charting system experience
- Pediatrics and adolescent experience preferred
- Robotic surgery experience (DaVinci, endovascular, ophthalmic) is a plus
- Must meet compliance requirements (not reside in specified local counties)
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical specialties: ortho, general, neuro, vascular, and urology
- Assist with advanced procedures: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral popliteal bypass graft, and robotic surgeries
- Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic technique and trauma care
- Participate in call rotation (1-2 shifts every 6 weeks)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care using Epic charting system
- Support the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
