Operating Room RN Job Details

• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin 54311
• Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU & Maternity Center, Primary Stroke Center
• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/24/2026)
• Number of ORs: 19 (across two hospital locations)
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2000

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (first-time travel nurses considered)
• Active Registered Nurse license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Robotics experience required (DaVinci XI)
• Experience in ENT, Endovascular, Minor Vascular, Neuro, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, GYN, Urology, Plastics, and General Surgery
• Ability to float between Main OR and East Side; occasional float to West Side surgery center

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room and assist with intubation, extubation, and patient positioning
• Support robotic surgeries (DaVinci XI) and multiple surgical specialties
• Assist with ancillary tasks including cleaning, supply management, and maintaining a safe environment
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation (two 8-hour shifts on the unit)
• Work select holidays as needed; no on-call or weekend shifts required
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
