Overview
Role summary and essential duties for the CNC Swiss Machinist - 3rd Shift at ARCH. The position requires setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC Swiss machines, along with inspection and adherence to quality and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up machines within the department.
- Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in-process inspection plans.
- Continuously monitor equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other disruption, notify the department manager to resolve the problem.
- Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
- Assist with training of new team members and operators.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to company safety requirements.
- Ensure assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years related experience
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with one or more CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss
- Experience in using caliper, micrometer, OC and height gage for dimensional inspection
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Physical Demands
- Light to moderate physical exertion required
- Lifting/carrying maximum lbs.: 50
- Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
