Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Stand Up Forklift Operator in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Position: Warehouse Forklift Material Handler at Ryder Supply Chain Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Be responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; capable of working in a diverse environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrates initiative and high level of accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods; follow health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
