Overview

The Warehouse Packing and Forklift Operator is responsible for packing and preparing products for shipment, operating forklifts to move materials, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of orders. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Packing and Shipping
  • Pack products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
  • Label packages accurately with shipping information.
  • Verify that orders are complete and match packing lists or invoices before shipping.
• Forklift Operation
  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of forklifts, following all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Order Fulfillment
  • Pick products from inventory according to order specifications.
  • Verify product quantities and descriptions against order requirements.
  • Assemble and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Inventory Management
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Organize and store products in the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space and accessibility.
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and quality of products.
• Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures to protect against workplace hazards.
  • Participate in safety training and drills, maintaining a high awareness of safety practices.
• Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of packing, shipping, and inventory activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on order fulfillment, inventory levels, and other warehouse activities.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the warehouse is free from hazards and clutter.
  • Assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse facility.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with experience in packing and forklift operation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Basic computer skills.
• Certifications: Valid forklift operator certification is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Shift work: 12-hour days (4 days a week). Weekends included (approximately 2 weekends a month)

We have two shifts with 3-4 people per shift.

Start time: 6:00am - 6:30 pm

PPE: safety glasses, safety shoes, long pants
