Director of Recruitment and Outreach, Enrollment Management Services

The Director of Recruitment and Outreach is responsible for strategy, program planning, oversight, budget management, and implementation of recruitment, outreach and yield efforts for the University. This position establishes and advances relationships and collaboration with high school counselors, community partners, campus staff, students, and faculty, and provides departmental support for assigned university partnerships. The Director facilitates the creation of new and progressive student recruitment and outreach initiatives, while implementing and assessing current ones. In this role, with a primary focus on students from K-12 programs and community colleges, the Director collaborates with university offices such as Admissions and Records, Marketing, Community Engagement, Educational Opportunity Program, PASO, among others, to design outreach efforts that will compel a diverse spectrum of high-quality students to apply to, and ultimately attend, CSUSM. The Director will perform administrative duties that direct the development and growth of university partnerships related to student recruitment to accelerate excellence in education with particular emphasis on sustaining the program infrastructure, strengthening relationships with campus and community partners, and developing programs and activities that support the university’s goals. Position Summary Director of Recruitment and Outreach (Administrator II) This is a full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President. Pay, Benefits, And Work Schedule Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $8,584 - $11,250 per month CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,053 - $16,221 per month Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected. This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
