Overview

Senior Consultant (Shared Equity Leadership) – University of Colorado Boulder. This position reports to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Leadership Support and Programming and is responsible for supporting and advising unit leads regarding how to plan, implement, and assess efforts designed for improving and supporting inclusive campus environments. The Senior Consultant will provide expertise and consulting services in research, assessment, student success, talent acquisition, professional development and learning, leadership development, and/or organizational change. They will assist colleagues in operationalizing strategic goals and evaluating policy and programmatic impact in support of the campus priorities to create environments where everyone matters and can thrive. Incumbents will apply work from the University of Southern California’s Pullias Center to advance Shared Equity Leadership (SEL) alongside competency models and frameworks (e.g., NASPA/ACPA Professional Competencies, Leadership Reconsidered, Multicultural Organizational Development) to develop and support transformational higher education leaders who are capable of creating positive and supportive environments for a range of constituents and needs. The Office of Leadership Support and Programming is part of the chancellor’s office and is charged with: Supporting and advancing the chancellor’s priorities. Creating and supporting campus environments where everyone matters and all can thrive. Providing services to campus leaders (planning, assessment, communications) to help advance the chancellor’s priorities. Building capacity in leadership in the areas of access, opportunity, and engagement to address disparate outcomes, myriad experiences and needs. Sponsoring and supporting initiatives needed to build community and create connections for employees. Providing leadership for assessing campus environments and applying data-informed approaches to organizational development. Providing resources (e.g., funding, materials, consultations) for new or existing programs focused on improving campus environments. Responsibilities

Apply and integrate SEL concepts and competency models to support unit leaders in planning, implementing, and evaluating inclusive campus initiatives. Advise on policies and programs that advance campus priorities related to inclusion, student success, and leadership development. Collaborate with colleagues to operationalize strategic goals and assess programmatic impact. Provide consulting services in research, assessment, talent acquisition, professional development, and organizational change as requested. Qualifications

PhD, JD, or terminal degree (e.g., MBA, MSW, MFA, MLS) in a relevant field (e.g., higher education, social sciences, human resources) Or equivalent combination of education and experience and 3+ years of related experience. What we would like you to have

3+ years of experience providing consulting services to executive leaders as it pertains to improving environments, campus-level programming, strategic planning, organizational change, and/or student success. Seniority level
