Overview

Senior Consultant at University of Colorado Boulder. This position reports to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Leadership Support and Programming and is responsible for supporting and advising unit leads regarding planning, implementation, and assessment of efforts to improve and support inclusive campus environments. The Senior Consultant will provide expertise in research, assessment, student success, talent acquisition, professional development and learning, leadership development, and/or organizational change. They will help operationalize strategic goals and evaluate policy and program impact in support of campus priorities to create environments where everyone matters and can thrive. The work will apply the Shared Equity Leadership (SEL) model and related competency frameworks to develop transformational higher education leaders capable of creating positive environments for diverse constituents. Assess, evaluate, and manage projects to operationalize strategic goals for thriving campus environments (e.g., develop assessment plans, collect and analyze data, communicate results) and support shared equity leadership. Build relationships and provide consulting for leadership development (e.g., meetings, communications, curriculum modeling, consensus building). Perform sensitive or high-level administrative tasks to support office programs or events. Research and benchmark promising practices in higher education; curate research, tools, and resources; present findings to stakeholders. Engage administrative support, archive/organize materials, and provide leadership within the office (e.g., onboarding new team members). What You Should Know

After training, hybrid work with 1 day per week remote; typical business hours with occasional evenings/weekends and flexibility as needed. What We Can Offer

Annual hiring range: $113,100–$150,000. Relocation available for eligible candidates. Benefits

PhD, JD, or terminal degree (e.g., MBA, MSW, MFA, MLS) in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3+ years of related experience. What You Will Need

Knowledge of strategic planning and the higher education landscape related to creating and assessing supportive campus environments. Experience with consultation practices, strategic planning documentation, and human-centered/universal design principles. Ability to conduct assessment processes, develop curricula, and translate results for diverse audiences. Content knowledge in higher education research to improve campus environments and outcomes (e.g., student success, leadership, organizational development). Assessment and evaluation skills in higher education, including goal setting, outcomes, metrics, and benchmarks. Strong self-management, accountability, flexibility, and emotional intelligence. Teamwork and Leadership

Build positive relationships with unit leads; collaborate with other Senior Consultants; support and contribute to team dynamics; drive consensus and shared leadership across the office. Communication

Strong writing and editing for university publications; effective relationship-building and discretion; serve as a resource to team members. Innovation and Problem Solving

Develop solutions across campus; evaluate processes for outcomes; apply creative thinking to leadership challenges and implement new ideas. Commitment to Learning

Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to learning tools, leadership skills, and higher education research. What We Would Like You To Have

3+ years of consulting experience with executive leaders on environments, campus programming, strategic planning, organizational change, and/or student success. How to Apply
