Manager, Landscape Architect
reporting to the
Principal, Private Destinations This position will be working onsite from Miami. Position Summary
As a member of the Product Development team in Private Destinations, the Project Architect in Landscape Architecture, will work in a team environment and be responsible for overseeing the landscape architectural aspects of the development of a design, production of the construction documents, and specifications. As a member of the Product Development team in Private Destinations, the Project Architect in Landscape Architecture is responsible for overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves collaborating with project teams, coordinating with landscape architects and consultants, and providing strategic directions to achieve the project goals. Coordinates siteworks efforts to ensure effective execution and serves as primary liaison in landscape architecture between third party consultants and ownership. Responsible for coordination of project siteworks efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and Technical Excellence: Oversees the design of large developments in hospitality, and commercial applications. Owns design management over single asset at a time for Private Destinations - Product Development Participates in or leads the management of deliverables at all project phases. Supports RCI policies on project delivery, quality control, and safety Provides quick design mark-ups, alternative solutions for areas that need immediate responses. Possesses excellent multi-disciplinary technical knowledge. Owns and tracks design directions discussed at all meetings. Responsible for timely follow ups with design consultant with regards to design advancement and coordination with the required sub-consultant. Provides input to “design tracker” file that tracks all design requests/decisions, dates, responsible party, and blockers Reviews progress drawings with RCL project team to confirm conformance of design intent and material choices throughout all design phases. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
Professional graduate degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program. 5-8 years of experience in the development of large commercial and hospitality projects Supports all aspects of the project development cycle from inception through to completion including client relations, proposal development and project delivery. Demonstrates ability to lead and coordinate building systems with multi-disciplined teams. Ability to develop and present design concepts, as well as construction details. Familiarity and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Sketchup, Lumion and Autodesk CAD / Revit BIM platforms with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills A high level of organizational skills with a detail-oriented focus and a strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently and be flexible to change. Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions and how they apply to the design. We know there's a lot to consider.
