Adapt API
Overview
Adapt is rebuilding the infrastructure of insurance from the ground up. Adapt is a venture-backed startup revolutionizing the infrastructure layer for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance. Much like how Plaid transformed consumer finance, we’re bringing seamless API integrations to the insurance sector, aiming to eliminate manual processes and unlock innovation in this $2T global industry. Despite advancements, many insurance agencies still rely on outdated methods—think filing cabinets and fax machines. Even digitized processes often involve manual data entry due to systems that don’t communicate effectively. Adapt addresses this by providing a unified, modern API layer that automates these workflows, reducing errors and saving time. Compensation

Fuel to the Fire: You will be stepping into an extremely high-performing full-cycle team. Your focus will be to continue to help us raise the bar, and learn from the best while doing so. Work That Matters: Bring real automation to independent agencies—people who still spend hours every day on repetitive, manual tasks. Elite Comp: Strong cash (50th percentile), uncapped commission, solid benefit structure, and startup equity that’s actually meaningful (90th+ percentile). A+ Team & Backers: Backed by top seed investors, ex-Plaid execs, and industry insiders. The founding team is chock-full of multiple-time function builders, insurance experts, and driven A+ level talent - looking for more of the same. Momentum: Post-PMF. Revenue-generating. Growing lightning fast. What You’ll Do
Own the Full Cycle: You’ll identify, prospect, demo, and close SMB accounts while learning the ropes on MM/ENT. No hand-holding. You run your book and influence the entire pipeline. Relentless Prospecting: Build your own pipeline. Use Apollo, SalesNav, Nooks, referrals, and sheer resourcefulness to stay 2 steps ahead. Heavy dialing culture. Master the Pitch: Deliver compelling, consultative demos that speak to the pain of manual workflows and the upside of automation. Handle Objections Like a Pro: Understand what really drives decisions and guide deals across the finish line. Close Revenue: Follow the process to victory that’s led to a 30%+ close rate and sub-30-day sales cycles. Tight Feedback Loop: Share real-world learnings with product and marketing to sharpen our message and roadmap. Be a Builder: Test new industries, personas, and messaging. Help us figure out what scales. True Team Selling Environment: Win, lose, and get paid as a team. We pool all commissions, and everyone’s pipeline is treated like gold. What Makes You a Great Fit
2+ years of Outbound SDR / Full cycle AE experience in SaaS, tech, or a role where you lived or died by your outbound efforts. You love the chase. You’re energized by finding leads, booking meetings, and getting scrappy to hit quota. Confident communicator. You can make complex things sound simple—and you know how to listen just as well as you pitch. Resilient. You bounce back fast, iterate faster, and don’t take rejection personally. Organized operator. You live in your CRM (HubSpot) and keep deals clean, tracked, and moving. Curious & coachable. You don’t assume you know everything. You test, learn, and apply feedback fast. Grit > pedigree. You might not have worked in insurance or at a big-name company—but you’re hungry and you deliver. Bonus Points
Experience selling to SMBs or insurance agencies. Startup experience—you’ve built before, and you’re not afraid of ambiguity. Technical curiosity—you’re comfortable with technical products and like to learn the inner workings behind the value we add for our customers. What Success Looks Like
You consistently hit (and exceed) quota by building your own pipeline. You close deals that turn into long-term, successful customers. You help continue to scale the SMB sales motion that fuels Adapt’s growth. You become the rep every future AE wants to shadow. This is a career-making role.
If you’re a high-output Sr SDR / AE who wants to prove yourself in a fast-moving startup, Adapt is where you do it. You’ll work directly with the CEO and Senior GTM Team, close real revenue, and help modernize one of the most broken industries in the country. Let’s go build.
