Renaissance Social Services, Inc. (RSSI) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven professional to serve as the Quality Assurance Specialist. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the organization’s Medicaid quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and maintaining ongoing CARF accreditation. The Director will champion organizational excellence by integrating quality improvement strategies, strengthening compliance infrastructure, and cultivating a culture of accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization. This leader will serve as a key advisor to the Executive Team, providing insight into quality outcomes, compliance risks, and strategic opportunities that support RSSI’s mission to end homelessness and improve lives through supportive housing and services. Key Responsibilities

Medicaid Quality Assurance and Compliance Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Medicaid quality assurance programs. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and managed care regulations, ensuring all programs operate within Medicaid guidelines. Conduct routine audits, chart reviews, and data analyses to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective action plans. Serve as the primary point of contact for Medicaid-related audits, surveys, and inspections, preparing documentation and coordinating organizational responses. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid policy changes and proactively adapt organizational practices to remain compliant. Develop, revise, and enforce organizational policies and procedures to align with Medicaid and managed care requirements. CARF Accreditation Leadership Direct all organizational activities related to CARF accreditation, including preparation, survey coordination, and post-survey follow-up. Partner with senior leadership and program managers to ensure services, policies, and practices align with CARF standards. Oversee the development and maintenance of compliance documentation and evidence necessary for CARF surveys. Establish systems for continuous readiness so accreditation standards are consistently met, not only during survey periods. Provide training, tools, and resources to staff at all levels to support understanding and integration of accreditation requirements. Quality Improvement & Data-Driven Performance Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect quality, compliance, and client outcomes. Analyze trends and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and report findings to executive leadership and the Board. Collaborate with program and clinical teams to integrate quality improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and client outcomes. Establish mechanisms for feedback from clients, staff, and external partners to inform continuous improvement. Organizational Leadership & Training Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to the Executive Team and Board of Directors on compliance, quality, and accreditation matters. Provide training, coaching, and consultation to managers and staff to strengthen knowledge of compliance and quality standards. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical practice across all levels of the organization. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Program teams to ensure that compliance and quality considerations are embedded in cross-departmental operations. Risk Management & Governance Identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risks related to compliance, quality, and accreditation. Develop risk management strategies and lead efforts to address compliance-related incidents or concerns. Maintain documentation and reporting systems to support organizational governance and demonstrate accountability to regulators, funders, and accreditation bodies. Ensure the organization is prepared for emerging regulatory changes, audits, and evolving quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social services, healthcare administration, public health, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. LCSW is required. Knowledge of state and federal Medicaid regulations, managed care systems, and quality improvement frameworks. Committed to leading CARF or equivalent accreditation processes. Understanding of policy development, audit preparation, and corrective action implementation. Proficiency in analyzing data, generating reports, and presenting findings to leadership and governing bodies. Exceptional communication, training, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Location: Chicago, IL. Salary ranges vary by posting. Example ranges observed: $87,780.00-$114,376.00; other postings include $70,000.00-$80,000.00, $100,000.00-$130,000.00, etc. Actual offer depends on experience and department needs. Seniority level
