Position Overview YellowLite is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Commercial Business Development to lead its commercial sales operations. This position will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and ensuring profitable growth across the commercial solar and energy storage markets. The Director of Sales will also oversee commercial management activities, including contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and revenue performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company growth objectives. Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial sales/business development team to drive performance and accountability. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial solar and energy storage sector. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers. Oversee commercial management functions, including P&L oversight, forecasting, and pricing strategy. Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution. Represent YellowLite at trade shows, industry events, and professional forums. Provide executive leadership with accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and business performance updates. Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to guide strategic decisions. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is highly preferred. 7–10 years of progressive B2B sales experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated success in commercial management, including P&L accountability. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage, and related technologies. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets. Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and professional presentation tools. Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
