Mission description Summary/Objective: As the MRO Procurement Team Lead for the North America Area, you are accountable with your team for a portfolio of strategic repair suppliers. The team of MRO procurement is in charge of supplying repairs to the Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) MRO Network and is the unique procurement point of contact of the suppliers for the SAE network. Your objective is to manage supplier relationships and make sure that the suppliers deliver parts according to Safran needs. 30% of your time will consist of managing a supplier and 70% of your time will consist of managing your team. Location & Reporting: This position is open in our Safran USA | SAE office located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Requirements include but are not limited to: The activity of the MRO procurement team will consist in centralizing all repair orders initiated by local supply chains, managing a portfolio of order in the ERP, detecting any alerts or risks, proposing actions to mitigate risks, ensuring suppliers commit to end repair dates and developing action plans to improve delivery performance. As the team manager of the MRO procurement team in North America, your job will also consist in: - organizing the activity of the team to deliver the performance required - securing consistency and quality of the reporting for America region - cooperating with the other MRO Procurement teams (Europe & Asia) making sure to have a standard worldwide process - coordinating actions on supply-chain topics - escalating problematic flows to suppliers - evaluating the workload of the team - recruiting new MRO Procurement Leaders & enrolling them - Approving your team business trips, vacations and organizing the backup system - establishing the training plan - being part of the supplier team dynamic - establishing action plans to improve the internal & supplier performance - being the focal point of SAE MRO on repair procurement You will be measured on key performance metrics of your team (On-time delivery per contractual TAT, respect of procedures, etc.). Your success will be determined by: - Your leadership and management skills - ability to lead/manage a team - Your ability to maintain a close relationship with supplier contacts at all organization levels - Your close cooperation with other MRO Procurement team regions in order to maintain homogeneous practices & a continuous global improvement activity - Your customer orientation to match local supply chain needs - Your ability to challenge suppliers based on your MRO knowledge - Your ability to detect any deviation in supplier logistics performance and propose improvement actions - Your ability to maintain a close relationship with Safran Supplier Team members (Supplier Performance Manager, Purchaser, Quality Manager, Engineering) - Your knowledge of supplier capability (part numbers, repairs, certifications) and ability to detect upfront any flow which cannot be managed/achieved Job Requirements: - Leadership, communication - Reactivity & customer orientation - Assertiveness with regards to your supplier - Proactivity once a problem is detected - Required Education: Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree from and accredited institution in Engineering - English native or close to native to communicate with suppliers - Successful past supplier relationship experience - Technical skills on engine maintenance / parts repair - French language skill and knowledge of the French culture will be a plus Required Experience: Minimum: 3 years in supply-chain, purchasing or production in Aerospace Industry. Preferred: 5+ years in supply-chain, purchasing or production in MRO Aerospace Industry, management experience Specificity of the job: Business trips to major suppliers as required Business trips to France twice per year
