Contract Administrator (Level 2 or Level 3) – Redondo Beach, CA. This position offers a 9/80 schedule and will be in-office. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. Responsibilities
Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications. Serve as the primary interface with the customer to communicate and ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, manage contract changes, administer each contract proactively, and maintain historical information. Manage high-visibility programs with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment; participate in negotiations with customers as a strategic team member. Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and other risk areas; recommend risk mitigation strategies. Develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance on assigned programs under general supervision. Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales. Prepare written communications with internal and external customers for contractual matters. Maintain contract data in Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System. Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices. This role may be filled at either Level 2 or Level 3, depending on qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience. Basic Qualifications
Level 2
– Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or Master’s degree with experience in contracts management/administration and/or industry-related experience; knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or government regulations; working knowledge of US Government contracting; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; US Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Level 3
– Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in contracts management/administration and/or industry-related experience; knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or government regulations; working knowledge of US Government contracting; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; US Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with negotiating FAR terms and conditions. Law, business, or relevant advanced degree.
