Associate Lecturer in Construction Management at UNSW. The Opportunity: Join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as an Associate Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role. This position covers duties of an academic staff member seconded to another role for the duration of that appointment. Responsibilities
Undertake high-quality teaching and research in construction management with emphasis on digital technologies, data sciences, and IoT (e.g., BIM, smart infrastructure, data-driven decision-support). Contribute to innovation in sustainable infrastructure, digital construction technologies, and integrated project delivery methods. Collaborate within a leading team and support student learning, equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Qualifications
A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. Commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments. Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods. Ability to engage students and foster independent learning through meaningful assessment and feedback. Professional development of teaching practice. Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Ability to undertake high-quality academic research with limited supervision and a track record of publications and conference presentations. Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build relationships; strong interpersonal skills. Commitment to UNSW aims, objectives and values and relevant policies.
