Senior Sourcing Manager role at Acuity. The Senior Sourcing Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing the global sourcing strategy to attain maximum contribution to operating profit and business objectives. They utilize World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Lean methodology to obtain maximum total value from the supply base. This role works remotely from the United States with travel based on business needs (~20%). Location and Travel

Cost Containment: Identify and develop alternate sources of supply to create competitive tension among suppliers. Create and execute an RFP or SSI to negotiate the best price and terms. Establish standard costs for purchased material and track compliance. Research and identify alternate materials or designs of a part to reduce cost or improve availability. Service Level Improvement: Measure supplier performance, including on-time and complete delivery of quality products, to continuously improve service and customer experience. Risk Mitigation: Negotiate and obtain a signed mid-form agreement from suppliers to minimize Acuity\'s liability exposure. Ensure supplier compliance with requirements mandated by federal, state, and local ordinances regarding energy efficiency and environmental regulations. Compile and maintain a country of origin record for each purchased part. Supply Base Rationalization: Identify, select, and consolidate sources of supply to best support Acuity Supply Chain strategy and objectives. Product Complexity Reduction: Apply specialized technical knowledge to identify opportunities to reduce the number of parts managed. Facilitate Supply to Consume Process: Increase supplier participation in Acuity SLCs and improve supplier compliance with inventory metrics. Help stabilize the production schedule, support the Kanban process, and reduce costs associated with ordering and expediting material. Manage Commodity Spend: Develop and communicate sourcing strategy to appropriate personnel within the company. Identify the preferred supplier parts so that new fixtures\' BOMs are constructed correctly. Utilize and enforce blanket purchase orders to control supplier selection and price. Expand the use of ERS with suppliers to streamline the receipt and invoice process. Qualifications
Must have 6+ years of experience in buying or sourcing positions and 3+ years of managing people. A Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering. Experience negotiating contracts for utilities, bulk gas, leases, RODI and Waste, ESG Strategy, and Global & Regional MRO strategies. Experience in construction agreements and capital equipment purchases. Extensive knowledge in legal terms for in-depth contract negotiations. Previously recognized as an internal SME for the commodity or supplier base managed. Expertise in negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking. Strong written and verbal communication as well as organizational skills. Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools. Availability to travel based on business needs (~20%). The range for this position is $83,300.00 to $149,900.00.
