We're seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to join our mission of creating the world's safest work environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact associate well being while driving operational excellence. Responsibilities

Serve as the site’s safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation and combining hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect our people. Bridge safety requirements with operational needs by working closely with Operations leadership to drive safety initiatives that improve culture and performance. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions to protect associates while supporting productivity. Build relationships and influence positive change to shape a proactive safety culture. Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements where they matter most. Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities, ensuring immediate care is available. Transform safety data into actionable insights and use leadership skills to engage associates in the safety mission. Core Impact Areas

– Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions. Drive continuous improvement, leverage technology and data analytics, develop leadership plans, communicate expectations, and measure performance against WHS policies. Conduct site audits to address non-compliance. Strategic Partnership & Influence

– Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into all aspects of the business. Use data analysis and risk insights to influence strategic decisions and oversee recordkeeping, WHS training, and workplace organization. Additional Job Elements

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures Continuously climb and descend stairs (where applicable) First Aid, CPR, AED certification required within 3 weeks of start date if not already held Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience Preferred Qualifications

Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people Master’s degree Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization Certified Safety Professional Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $115,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
