Mount Sinai Health System Description The Senior Director of Information Technologies is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing information systems and technologies for large and/or multiple areas of the organization. Other responsibilities include research, development, and application of new information system technologies to support the goals of managing and operating the organization's IT division.

This leader would support all technical solutions that support drug procurement, storage, dispensing, admixture, and management, as well as the Pharmacy data warehouse. This would include but not limited to Pyxis, IV robots, all the Epic solutions, and drug diversion software.

Significant onsite presence is required

Responsibilities

Directs the utilization of information system resources and plans, designs, and implements organization-wide information systems and technologies for large and/or multiple areas of the organization. Assigns and coordinates the work of Information Technologies staff, contractors, and vendors. Provides overall technical leadership within a structure that is consistently expanding through organization-wide system development and departmental utilization of microcomputers. Coordinates planning, design, implementation, and technical support of information systems, networks, and departmental applications. Collaborates with the CIO in establishing organizational goals for information systems and technologies. Directs the development of the Information Technologies operating budget and maintains required controls to assure compliance with budgeted expenses, resources, and staff projections. Responsible for the development of organization-wide systems standards (hardware, software, network systems) policies and procedures. Responsible for development and implementation of information systems disaster recovery plans. Develops staff and monitor programs to support production services including staffing, standards, productivity analysis, cost factors, benefits realization, and operations processing. Coordinates, develops, and executes program for continual measurement of the organization's information systems, and communication networks performance and effectiveness. Ensures the provision of cost-efficient information services and systems. Anticipate developments in fields of information technology. Write recommendations for management review of enhancements to existing systems through ongoing review. Responsible for pharmacy and oncology service line technology solutions including but not limited to planning, developing, implementing, and managing all IT systems and services related to those service lines. Partner with Chief Pharmacy Officer and pharmacy leadership as their strategic partner. Support, suggest, and investigate new and innovative technology selection, implementation, and use across all Mount Sinai, creating a strategic IT technology roadmap Be the point person for intake of pharmacy and oncology products – including but not limited to assessment & evaluation, and implementation of new related software/technology Other service lines may be added as appropriate Performs other related duties Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Systems with coursework in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's preferred. Experience 15 years of progressive information systems management experience, preferably in a healthcare field. The salary range for the role is $183,854 - $289,990 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
