About The Job The Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota invites applications to join the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the academic rank of assistant, associate, or full professor on our Luminal GI team. Positions are available on both the Academic and Clinician tracks. Our current strengths include microbiome science, inflammatory bowel disease, and artificial intelligence in endoscopy. We are also expanding into functional GI diseases, motility, and neurogastroenterology. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in general gastroenterology and a focused clinical interest in one of these areas. Applicants should have completed their training with a strong record in clinical service, research, and teaching. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines, engagement in national GI societies, and a solid publication record are also expected. Role Our division values Nutrition and GI Health Psychology in patient care and research. We promote team science and collaboration with basic researchers across the university. The division offers: Academic tertiary care with fellowships in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and advanced endoscopy State-of-the-art facilities including clinics and endoscopy suites Opportunities for professional development through conferences, CME, and collaboration Qualifications Minimum qualifications include an M.D., three years of residency in Internal Medicine, three years of gastroenterology fellowship, competence in basic endoscopic procedures, and board eligibility or certification in Gastroenterology. Applicants must be able to receive work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status under the VISA category. Pay and Benefits Salary begins at $55,000, dependent on academic effort. Clinical salary is provided through Minnesota Physicians, aligned with effort, and competitive. The position is a 75%-100% appointment as faculty and P&A staff.
