Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously; assist guests with video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; prioritize guests over tasks by circulating throughout the store. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including making correct changes, bagging merchandise, providing receipts, and ensuring top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; answer calls promptly and professionally; escalate customer issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-in program, and Pro Rewards guest loyalty program. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for store associates and training them in company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide timely feedback to the Store Manager, and address unsatisfactory performance to ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide timely recognition and feedback to all store associates and document feedback in the Workday/HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure store associates complete onboarding, job training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure experience across policies, inventory control, loss prevention, scam awareness, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to follow scheduling guidelines; supervise staffing levels to maintain excellent guest service. Approve payroll, enter paid time off, make time edits, and verify pay for all store associates. Ensure all store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines; keep fixtures and equipment in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect belongings at closing as appropriate and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and move products to the front of the store to ensure representation and organization. Balance and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits according to guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies, record discrepancies in the POS, and communicate issues to the Store Manager/District Manager. Process defective items/recalls and stock pulls promptly, ensuring labeling and packing lists are complete. Maintain awareness of associate and guest safety; report injuries promptly per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and as part of a team; perform tasks promptly. Meet performance expectations including attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system; basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Execute financial tasks in accordance with policy. Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week availability). Reliability, trustworthiness, and good judgment. Able to work alone; stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and reach overhead. Possess or acquire working understanding of military ranks and insignia (military bases stores only). Pay
