General Functions:
This key position performs highly skilled technical work specializing in the operation and programming of all lighting systems in the Chapin Theater. Work is performed with independence under the general supervision of the section supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved. Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties; it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification. Responsible for lighting programming for every show that utilizes the OCCC Chapin Theater Repairs, modifies, installs, and maintains high end, state-of-the-art electronic lighting equipment. Operates computer-controlled lighting systems, ensuring proper system(s) configuration based on event requirements. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and system malfunctions. Ensures preventative maintenance of all lighting equipment in operations. Plans and schedules support technicians. Interacts directly with event managers and clients to coordinate and schedule work and provides status reports. Maintains inventory control based on event calendar, client work orders, and client meetings. Provides high quality customer service. Trains lower-level technicians. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Associate\'s degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the area of assignment. In lieu of the degree requirements, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferences
Collaborative work habits & information sharing; Oversee and operate systems pertaining to lighting throughout the entire event; Accommodate artist/ event lighting requirements; Set Up and break-down of Lighting and event equipment; Knowledgeable and experienced with the HES Road Hog 4 or advanced programming skill on a similar system & ability to learn this system in a timely manner; Familiar with maintenance and repair of lighting equipment, inventory tracking & work flow scheduling; Familiar with sharing space & schedule with Audio, rigging, client & talent; Assist with other Production areas throughout the house as needed; Assist with the technical advance with Artists representatives Application Deadline

Pay Grade: 016 - From $26.16 to $34.01 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Placement based on Education and Experience Benefits
