The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Cardiology Physician at the Associate or Full Professor rank. About The Appointment

The Department / Division seeks an individual with a strong interest in Pediatric Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Devices, and Pediatric Heart Transplant, to join as Medical Director of Heart Failure/Transplant/VAD. Responsibilities include participation in pre- and post-transplant cardiac evaluation and treatment of cardiomyopathies and heart failure due to various etiologies. The position may involve general pediatric cardiology care at University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and/or outreach clinics. Depending on expertise, there may be involvement in echocardiographic interpretation and inpatient/outpatient service. Additional duties include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as participation in service activities. Scholarly work in the candidate’s area of research is encouraged to develop collaborative or independent, externally funded projects. Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship programs. Board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota. Meet credentialing and privileges requirements. Legal ability to work in the United States. About The Department

Join a team of 20 Cardiologists dedicated to pediatric heart care, education, and research. The Pediatric Heart Transplant program has a 35+ year history and is experiencing growth, prompting recruitment of a second Heart Failure/Transplant cardiologist. The team includes CV intensivists, care coordinators, cardiologists, and surgeons, all within a children's hospital setting on a leading academic campus. Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: $253,600+, depending on qualifications and experience. Time Appointment: 75%-100%. Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff.
