Overview
Position Title:
Product Management Manager - Supply Chain The Product Management Manager is responsible for attracting, retaining and developing top talent focused on assessing market needs and inspiring cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The Product Management Manager guides and executes the delivery of business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within the designated enterprise product line, Managers work closely with teams of developers, designers and business partners. They support in-depth business reviews, communicate and present across all levels of the organization, and support cross-functional product teams.
Key Responsibilities
30% Strategy & Planning: Look across product teams and feature sets with a focus on alignment and dependencies; gain a thorough understanding of customer and associate needs to deliver enterprise products that provide Home Depot customers and associates with an unparalleled shopping experience; translate business goals and end-user needs into product strategy and communicate direction and priorities to the product team and business partners; meet with users and stakeholders to understand processes, pain points and system waste to identify opportunities to improve the user experience; create epics to drive improvements to product vision, features and back-end systems; determine value to the business of anticipated product updates; identify goals, metrics and analytics to measure product performance and continuously refine products.
40% Delivery & Execution: Review recommended solutions and work of the product team to ensure alignment with priorities; document and ensure quality and change control standards are met; remove roadblocks to enable timely product delivery; prioritize incoming requests from business partners and stakeholders in line with product vision and user needs; provide regular updates to leadership on progress within the portfolio.
30% People: Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to Product Managers; attract, retain and develop top talent to build a world-class Product Management Team; conduct annual and mid-year reviews, develop individual development plans and provide performance feedback; foster collaboration with Engineering, UX, and other teams to drive value and resolve impediments; advocate for the end user and stakeholder by understanding user needs and product association; guide junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis and execution; participate in and contribute to learning activities around modern software design and development practices.
Direct Manager / Direct Reports
Typically reports to the Product Management Sr. Manager, Technology Director or Sr. Director.
Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time spent sitting in a comfortable position with occasional movement; moving or lifting light articles on rare occasions.
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area; unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
5-7 years of relevant work experience Experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development enterprise environment overseeing multiple products Experience with agile methodologies, including XP practices (paired programming, test-driven development, continuous deployment) Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong communication and influencing skills across all levels Experience creating, prioritizing and accepting epics and user stories; conducting user research and testing; identifying goals, metrics and analytics Experience guiding junior team members and balancing workloads across teams; strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Active listening and effective communication with diverse audiences; ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
