Assistant Store Manager - XtraMart at Global Partners LP supports the general manager in managing day-to-day store operations in compliance with company policies and procedures. Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline. Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards. Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages (up to $100 per month) and inventory variations (0.5% of sales or less). Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records assigned by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager. Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to Global Partners cash control policies. Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders. Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards in line with store image standards. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation; ensure store is secure and safe and complies with safety and environmental guidelines. Report issues to proper authorities and management. Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries. Engage in all company promotional initiatives and promote a high level of guest service. Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures and by the General Manager/Territory Manager. Qualifications
Must be available to work flexible hours that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays. 1-2 years supervisory experience. Ability to work unsupervised and communicate, count, read, and write accurately. Ability to perform basic computer functions. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoor, cooler, etc.). Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders/stairs and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift. Ability to access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock area, and register area. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Education
