Overview

The Operations & Visual Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo’s operational and visual strategy to life in the store. This role focuses on inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution with a lens on efficient and effective store operation. The north star is ensuring that the store is customer-ready at all times. Duties require movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, this position performs other tasks as needed to keep the store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.

Operations & Visual Manager Responsibilities

Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes

Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps

Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data

Support sell-through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries

Support a safe work environment and efficient operation

Business Leader

Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the General Manager

Review, monitor and partner with the General Manager to manage the budget, reporting and other business data, including metrics (e.g., Expenses, Sell-Thru) and inform planning processes (e.g., quarterly business review and sales planning)

Future planning workflow to protect optimal performance

People Leader

Ensure that the Operations and Visual team exudes Alo's mission and guiding principles to communicate to guests who we are, what we do and why we do what we do

Lead a team through accountability, coaching, development of talent, and KPI/results-driven communication

Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy

Write an effective schedule that prioritizes the best business strategy, in partnership with the General/Store Manager

Flow Experience Leader

Oversee the execution of Flow experience deliverables while protecting operational efficiency

Collaborate and implement General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally with business partners to support goals and achieve inventory and sales floor KPI’s

Demonstrate the ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business needs and brand culture

Qualifications

3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience

Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment

Aligns with and embodies Alo’s Guiding Principles

Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability

Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store

Ability to lift, push, carry or move up to 50 pounds

Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder

Ability to stand and move for an entire shift

Schedule To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, all full-time employees should be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts. All employees must be able to work during the company’s Blackout period (the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season).

Compensation and Notes The Company’s Assistant Store Manager base pay ranges from $55,000-$75,000/year. Assistant Store Managers may participate in a Monthly Store Incentive program. Other rewards may include clothing allowance, employee discount, 401K, medical/dental/vision plans, commuter benefits, and access to wellness resources.
