As a Software Engineer on the cloud detection engine team, you’ll architect and implement a detection system that processes billions of events across multi-cloud environments. You will work on technologies such as custom query languages, event orchestration systems, and advanced correlation engines to detect cloud-based threats, collaborating with security researchers to translate expertise into scalable detection capabilities. What You'll Do

Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at a global scale Brainstorm, define and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams Mentor and be mentored by others on web, backend, and data storage technologies Continuously re-evaluate the product to improve architecture, models, user experience, performance and stability Own your work in a high-trust environment Technology stack includes: Go (Golang), AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, Git, Cassandra, Docker, Redis What You'll Need

Degree in Computer Science or professional experience in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems Understanding of scalability and distributed systems (sharding, partitioning, concurrency) Team player with strong collaboration skills Engineering best practices including testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative environment Commitment to delivering high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for CI Bonus Points

Contributions to open-source communities (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging) Exposure to Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch Experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields Experience thinking about or implementing programming languages or compilers Interesting hobbies Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike
