Oversee the overall accounting function typical of a small community bank, including control systems, transaction-processing operations, and accounting policies and procedures. Participate as a member of the Asset Liability Committee and the Operations, Compliance, and IT Committee, interacting across the organization. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including corporate annual reports, Call Reports, budget variance reports, and ALCO Committee Reports. Maintain the GL chart of accounts. Review income and expense general ledger entries for appropriateness, ensure all monthly entries are made prior to month-end close, and maintain internal controls over accounting transactions. Handle the preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll and insurance programs for employees, including updating the ADP system and managing monthly salary and PTO accruals. Work closely with the executive team in preparing the annual budget, audits, and assist in gathering information for external/internal auditors and regulators during bank examinations. Monitor liquidity and report daily cash management, liquidity forecasts, and prepare ALCO committee reports to ensure sufficient liquidity and lines of credit. Oversee Asset Liability Management, including investment securities entries, deposit trends, and capital accounts, using the Vantage system. Perform daily and monthly reconciliation and tracking of general ledger accounts, internal bank checking accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Manage fixed assets depreciation, prepaid and accrued expenses, ensuring proper documentation and filing. Manage accounts payable, USE taxes, IRS reporting, and vendor management. Additional Details
