The Controller is a strategic finance leader responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and accounting operations. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee core accounting functions such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger close, budget planning, and treasury management, including daily cash monitoring and 13-week forecasting.
This is a fully on-site position, and only candidates in the Denver metro market will be considered.
Job Summary
The Controller plays a key role in financial analysis, risk management, process improvement, and supporting executive decision-making through accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage AP, AR, and credit card processes Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close Prepare and review monthly financials for internal and external stakeholders Maintain intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and reconciliations Review daily cash sheet for accuracy and ensure liquidity across entities Build and update rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts Monitor working capital and provide recommendations to optimize cash Coordinate and consolidate departmental budgets Provide variance analysis to support business decisions Reporting on Company key KPIs monthly Work with CFO on long-range planning and scenario modeling Develop and document SOPs and ensure team adherence Maintain appropriate segregation of duties Support CFO and compliance team during audits (internal, external, SEC) Interface with external tax and audit partners Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience CPA preferred Banking / Investment Management Industry experience preferred Salary / Benefits Package:
