Senior Payroll Account Tax Analyst
to join our team! Under general direction of the Payroll Manager/Director, oversees employer and employee tax related functions within payroll while adhering to Federal, State/Provincial and Local tax regulations as well as vendor requirements. Timely and accurate filings of the payroll tax returns through ADP for multiple entities. Monitor, manage & reconcile payroll taxes at the employer and employee level and responsible to work any audits internal or external that arise. Reconcile in-house payroll data to federal, state, & local payroll tax payments and returns for all entities in multi-jurisdictions on a period/quarterly/annual basis. Process tax amendments & W2c’s through ADP as needed. Reconcile payroll taxes to the general ledger and work with accounting to book adjusting entries. Administer annual W2 processes timely through ADP including reconciliation of 941’2 to W2’s for all entities. Research, resolve and respond to notices from federal, state and local agencies. Communicate with local and state agencies to apply for tax ID’s and to close old accounts as necessary. Investigate new tax compliance regulations and plan to implement necessary changes. Assist teammates with questions and facilitate adjustments with the processing team. Provide general payroll support to the payroll team. Work on special projects as assigned by manager. Qualifications
Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance including federal regulations, multi-state taxation, reciprocity rules, and annual wage base limits for taxes and benefits. 5+ years’ experience in automated multi-state payroll tax processing, including compliance issues, ADP preferred but not required. Experience interacting with Systems, Programming and Human Resource teams. Experience with in-house payroll system setup, support and processing Strong working relationship with tax authorities for a multi-state organization What’s in it for you?
