Senior Engineer
to join our
Workday Financials
team. This position is an opportunity to build from the ground up and imprint on the future. The role includes design, development, testing and deployment of various functionality using Workday core toolset. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization focused on engineering excellence, while co-creating a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement. Our Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and a focus on high-quality technology products and services. Responsibilities
Provide expertise in Workday Financials Modules - specifically Workday Billing, Procurement, Payables, Assets and General Ledger Manage system architecture of the Workday Financial system Provide support for Workday Security and other functional areas Build product definition and leverage technical skills to drive toward the right solution Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle Lead design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering quality Ensure data and application accuracy and integrity through analysis, coding, documentation, and problem resolution Translate business and functional specifications into technical specifications Collaborate with other teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in Workday tools and technologies Share passion for staying current with tech trends, experimentation, and learning; participate in technology communities; mentor other engineers Mentor other engineers and share best practices to improve processes Qualifications
Experience assessing current solutions and providing best practices Experience with Finance Transformation projects Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder, Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT) Experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions Expert at creating complex calculated fields Experience building scalable, resilient, highly available systems Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling Experience with Agile methods and Azure Experience architecting and designing new and current systems Strong problem-solving ability Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development lifecycle Ability to prioritize workload and work independently with timely follow-up Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment Experience
4+ years of professional software development experience within Workday Ecosystem - focused on Financials 3+ years of experience with architecture and design 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Compensation
Base pay range : $70,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Final offer depends on factors including scope, responsibilities, experience, education, location, and market considerations.
