Evaluate (selection and pricing) and maintain (control) risk acceptability and profitability within underwriting guidelines for commercial risks, focusing on non-admitted General Liability for middle market construction risks. Manage and maintain strong relationships with Wholesale Brokers. Meet and exceed production, profitability, and service standards. Research and resolve complex problems, making informed decisions. Determine final coverages and pricing for risks. Review claims and loss data to adjust strategies and manage exposures. Collaborate with the Manager to oversee portfolio profitability and identify business trends. Maintain quality and timeliness standards. Stay informed on industry issues through ongoing education to enhance underwriting skills. Identify and develop new broker relationships for business growth. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Qualifications

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience and training. At least 10 years of commercial lines underwriting experience. Strong background in Excess & Surplus Lines and Wholesale Brokerage Distribution. Professional designations such as CPCU are preferred. Experience with supported excess writing is advantageous.
