Overview As a Lead Quality Test Engineer in the Integration domain, you will support multiple squads, guiding technical design and implementation strategies. This is a hands-on role focused on automated testing, code delivery, and mentorship within Nike Inc.’s technology standards. You will collaborate with product, technology, and engineering partners globally to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical design and development of automation and regression testing solutions that are efficient, reusable, secure, and resilient
Lead a team of engineers and support product testing, automation testing, integration testing, regression/performance testing, and end-to-end process automation
Hands-on software engineering and coding tasks aligned to multi-year platform roadmaps and modern industry trends
Coach the team to innovate, design, build, test, deploy, and maintain sustainable technology; participate in peer reviews and DevOps responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers to develop project plans, estimates, and resource allocation
Enable cross-team collaboration through communities of practice in areas such as Observability, API, Data, AI/ML, Kubernetes, DevOps, Cloud, Pipeline, Disaster Recovery, and Open Source
What You’ll Work On
Lead the technical design and development of automated testing for web applications and integrations
Develop and manage regression test suites and create robust reports for automation results
Test APIs and integrations using automation frameworks; configure Jenkins for automation runs
Work with OpenSearch for data loading and validation; test software for responsiveness and performance
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
This position is open to remote work; candidates must reside in the greater Oregon, Atlanta, or Boston metro area.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent education/experience
6 to 8 years of related experience
Proficiency in integration technologies
Automation tools: Worksoft Certify, IBIS, SAP Solman, SAP BPCA, Selenium, Nightwatch, Cucumber, Nightwatch-Cucumber, and Nightwatch-Newman
OpenSearch; Postman API; Kafka
IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
JIRA or VersionOne; GIT
AWS Lambda; CI/CD using Jenkins/BMX
Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
Performance testing tools: LoadRunner, JMeter
Knowledge of SAP ECC & SAP BW/HANA business processes for automation and regression testing
Strong analytical skills: defining solutions, estimating effort and risk, evaluating technical feasibility
Experience building automated testing for web apps using Python, JavaScript, and Node.js
Deep understanding of modern build, CI, and testing strategies
Strong Agile experience with Scrum and DevOps
