CME Associates is seeking a
Traffic Engineer
to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traffic analysis, signal design, and transportation planning. Responsibilities: Traffic Analysis & Modeling:
Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analysis, and safety evaluations using industry-standard software. Signal & Intersection Design:
Design traffic signals, roadway signage, pavement markings, and intersection improvements following NJTA, NJDOT and MUTCD standards. Transportation Planning & Studies:
Develop traffic control plans, detour plans, and transportation management strategies for public and private sector projects. Regulatory Compliance & Permitting:
Prepare reports, design documents, and permit applications to ensure compliance with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local transportation agencies. Plan Development & Software Utilization:
Prepare technical drawings and design plans using CAD software, with a preference for
MicroStation . Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field. Licenses & Certifications:
PE and PTOE required . Experience:
4+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, including signal design, roadway safety analysis, and transportation planning. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, VISSIM) and CAD software (MicroStation preferred). Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local traffic engineering standards and guidelines. Benefits:
