The Role:
PT Night Auditor at Kimpton Banneker Hotel, part of Valor Hospitality Partners. The Kimpton Banneker Hotel is a 144‑room boutique property in downtown Washington, DC, featuring a French bistro with al fresco dining and the Lady Bird rooftop event venue with views of the city and the White House.

Responsibilities
Audit, balance and report on cash and credit operations for food and beverage outlets, including checks, deposits, house charges and postings, and reset registers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Reconciling cashier’s reports with the restaurant system each night and posting unresolved tickets from day shifts.
Maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including preliminary reconciliations and final reports to accounting.
Audit, balance, post and report on front desk activities (room charges, phone calls, deposits, adjustments, taxes, etc.) to ensure accurate cash handling.
Audit, balance and report room information to provide management with performance visibility.
Prepare statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports and handle all cash transactions accurately and promptly.
Balance and audit revenues (rooms, food and beverage, cashier’s reports, guest/house accounts, telephone) and close bank ticket codes daily.
Transmit credit card batches and run the nightly audit final after revenues are in balance.
Prepare and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
Serve as hotel system liaison during night hours and perform Guest Service Representative duties as required (e.g., assist with reservations or calls).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Experience:
Six to twelve months in a related position or office setting; accounting or hospitality experience is a bonus.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer and cash handling skills; ability to stand for extended periods; guest-service oriented demeanor; adaptability; good judgment; effective communication with management, staff and guests.
