Responsibilities
Handling tax in a large, sophisticated organization and applying your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to complex issues. Lead teams and work in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is essential. Provide up-to-the-minute tax advice to clients and manage diverse tax planning projects and tasks for a broad client base.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Analyze evolving portfolios of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights. Identify opportunities and risks and communicate these to clients. Research market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor. Build client relationships with deep knowledge of the real estate, hospitality and construction industries. Develop clear plans to improve clients\' tax activities. Research client business operations and tailor advice to their needs. Supervise a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to grow.
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline. Seven to ten years\' real estate tax experience in a professional services environment. Extensive knowledge in real estate tax technical and transaction skills (e.g., partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring). Experience managing budgets, people and projects. Business development within the market. A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization. Technical writing and research experience in a tax context. Ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects. Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes. Willingness to travel as needed, and to work in a balanced hybrid environment.

CPA qualification or a state bar membership.
