Job Title: Director, Meetings & Events Reports to: Senior Director, Meetings & Events Department: Meetings & Events Location: Headquartered in Alexandria, VA Date: May 30, 2025 About NRMCA: Founded in 1930, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) is the leading industry advocate. Our mission is to provide exceptional value for our members by responsibly representing and serving the entire ready mixed concrete industry through leadership, promotion, education and partnering to ensure ready mixed concrete is the building material of choice. The Role: NRMCA's Meetings & Events Director supports the execution of meetings and events throughout the Association, from documentation of stakeholder requirements and contract coordination to execution. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless logistics, efficient communication, and a positive experience for all attendees. Responsibilities: Event coordination from inception to execution, balancing the need for positive attendee experience with respect to the budgeted resources. Collaborate with NRMCA staff stakeholders supporting activities in the field, staff facing functions at NRMCA Headquarters, and support the execution of NRMCA's keystone events at the direction of the Senior Director. Event Planning & Registration Support: Capture and document the details supporting internally focused staff events. Create Requests for Proposals (RFPs) where necessary which accurately reflect event details. Assist in negotiating contracts or vendor relationships supporting session requirements. Coordinate with key stakeholders regarding registration requirements or RSVPs for participants. Manage event shipments and materials deliveries. Manage AV support and presentation requirements for sessions. Assist in the development and distribution of meeting materials and post event materials. Onsite Event Management: Set-up and provide support to on-site registration desk at conferences and events. Assist in all aspects of event execution, from setup to tear-down, and ensure a positive attendee experience. Manage mobile app for conferences and events. Other Job Requirements: Assist with the administration and organization of the meetings department, including maintaining schedules, department SOPs, handling correspondence, ordering office and conference supplies, and managing registration databases. Process department invoices. Qualifications: Three to five years of experience working at a non-profit association or in an event planning, meeting coordination, or administrative support role. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred experience with Protech, Cvent, Blue Sky and GoToWebinar. Work Environment: Hybrid 25% travel required Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Salary: $72,000 - $96,000 per year
