Basic purpose: The Manager, Onboard Revenue Gift Shops & Retail at the Luxury Group (Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas) plays a pivotal role in managing Gift Shops, Retail and Port Shopping operations and sales across all Luxury Group Brands within the cruise industry. With a primary focus on meeting revenue targets, this position ensures the seamless operation of the onboard facilities and orchestrates strategic marketing campaigns. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in Vendors, Marketing, and IT, the role involves fostering partnerships, overseeing technology integration, and reviewing data analytics to optimize Gift Shops and Retail operations, enhance guest experiences, and contribute to overall revenue growth. The Manager also executes product initiatives in collaboration with Vendor Operations, ensuring a harmonious blend of marketing efforts and operational functions to drive business success and maintain the brand\'s commitment to excellence.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Manager, Onboard Revenue Gift Shops & Retail, your primary objective is to meet revenue targets across all the Luxury Group Brands by ensuring the seamless gift shops and retail operations and delivering unparalleled experiences to enhance guests\' satisfaction.

Strategically focus on marketing by conceiving and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly within Marketing, Hospitality, IT, and Vendor Operations, to drive revenue through targeted campaigns and initiatives.

Cultivate partnerships to enhance gift shop offerings, implement marketing strategies and sales programs to contribute to revenue generation.

Work with Gift Shop Vendors and Marketing teams to craft promotional materials and messaging that attract guests and drive revenue growth while enhancing guest satisfaction.

Review and monitor data analytics and performance monitoring systems by vessel and brand. Use analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of gift shop services and marketing strategies to optimize operations and revenue growth.

Collaborate with the IT department for seamless technology integration and ensure the technological infrastructure aligns with strategic goals, including vendor or POS integrations for pricing and products in the POS system.

Collaborate with Gift Shop Vendor Management to execute, market and launch product initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to enhance guest satisfaction and brand excellence.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education. MBA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in cruise, resort, hotel management or a related field. The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record in meeting revenue targets and executing successful marketing initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

You should possess proven experience in gift shop and retail management within the cruise or hospitality industry, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial in fostering partnerships and ensuring collaboration between departments. In-depth knowledge of gift shop products and industry trends is essential.

Track record in successful marketing initiatives and creating and executing marketing campaigns. Some experience in IT for technology integration, vendor POS integrations, and reviewing and monitoring data analytics is preferred.

Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office and project planning platforms.

Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage remote teams.

Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time and within budget. Innovative problem solver with the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable reports.

Understanding of implementing new procedures and proactive monitoring of quality control across areas.

Ability to travel for extensive periods to set up systems, product launches and marketing initiatives for existing fleet and new builds, including training, marketing and brand compliance (travel approximately 20%).
