Overview
Regional Business Director (RBD) role at Taiho Oncology, Inc. The RBD will lead and develop Oncology Account Managers in the Northeast region, promoting Taiho Oncology’s approved product line to external customers and driving regional business success. Position Summary
The RBD is responsible for leading the assigned region in sales of Taiho Oncology’s approved products. The RBD reports to the Sr. National Sales Director (SNSD) and leads a team of Oncology Account Managers. The RBD will define key account strategies and sales activities in the defined geographical area and will develop short- and long-term business plans, hire, train, and motivate a team of Oncology Account Managers. Performance Objectives
Manages a region of Oncology Account Managers representing Taiho Oncology Inc.'s brand vision and strategy. Recruits, selects, and develops individuals to achieve competitive superiority in the market. Ensures execution of the brand strategy within the region by translating strategy into region-specific goals and business plans. Proactively develops, reviews, and modifies the regional business plan. Interprets and communicates data to drive performance and productivity at the territory level. Identifies and secures necessary resources to align with matrix team members for regional plan execution. Identifies and develops relationships with key contacts and opinion leaders across the customer base (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, etc.). Develops contingency plans and makes tradeoff decisions to support strategic priorities. Leads organizational change and ensures understanding and alignment around changes. Manages the regions operational and brand product budget and allocates resources accordingly. Sets specific, measurable objectives and tracks performance data for the region. Creates a selling culture differentiated by deep scientific, disease area, and therapeutic expertise. Meets sales goals using approved materials and programs. Maintains compliance with Taiho Oncology, Inc. Mission and Compliance Code of Conduct. Education/Certification Requirements
BA/BS degree in science and/or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Minimum of 6+ years' experience in oncology sales. Minimum 3+ years’ oncology sales management experience. Working knowledge of geographic conditions and customer base. Understanding of environmental and industry trends and their impact on business. Strong field sales and field sales management performance. Experience building and leading diverse teams. Cross-functional experience (marketing, access, medical). Ability to formulate an effective business plan and participate in strategy development. Interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage high-level customers and decision makers. Positive, flexible, proactive attitude and general understanding of oncology and the cancer care delivery macro-environment. Understanding of oncology reimbursement, including orals, and payer customer segment. Experience communicating oncology access issues to external customers. Learning agility to acquire product and disease state knowledge for effective customer communication. Travel Requirements: 25-49% The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $216,750 - $255,000 annually. Details of participation in benefit plans and discretionary compensation will be provided if an offer is extended. This position is at-will in terms of employment. Location
