Senior Investment Strategist

Bessemer Trust . Position Summary: Bessemer Trust is seeking a talented Senior Investment Strategist to join the Investment Strategy Team. The Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping investment strategy, designing customized asset allocation, and delivering market insights to clients. The Strategist will work closely with Client and Wealth Advisors to engage with clients, presenting market outlooks, advising on portfolio strategy, and communicating views and portfolio positioning. The successful candidate will be willing and able to engage in daily discussions regarding financial market conditions, outlooks, and investment goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent research experience, robust analytical abilities, effective written and verbal skills, and a collaborative nature.
Key Responsibilities And Objectives
Stay informed on global economic trends, capital market developments, and emerging investment opportunities, leveraging views to shape the firm’s broader investment strategy. Produce internal and client-facing investment communications, including market outlooks and thematic investment pieces. Serve as a primary investment thought leader in client meetings, prospect pitches, and events, articulating outlooks, explaining investment performance, discussing portfolio positioning, and making recommendations in a clear and compelling manner. Respond to complex client and advisor inquiries across asset classes, drawing on deep market knowledge to provide timely, insightful guidance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, 10+ years in investment strategy, macro research, or portfolio management; graduate degree and/or CFA designation strongly preferred. Exceptional quantitative, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience in multi-asset strategy, including equities, fixed income, commodities and FX. Strong knowledge of global economics and financial markets. Experience working with and presenting to ultra high net worth clients. Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative, proactive mindset. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Demonstrated success presenting to and advising clients. Familiarity with financial software, such as Bloomberg and/or FactSet. Travel required as needed.
Compensation And Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $265,000 - $320,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a company profit sharing contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability coverage and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
