Associate Director of Engineering & Depot Services (EDS)

in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Associate Director leads a multidisciplinary Engineering Services, Depot Services and Spares Production team across the EDS product area supporting Department of Defense customers. The role provides vision and leadership for strategy within the Modernization & Sustainment framework, oversees program capture and proposals, and is responsible for execution of the EDS Operational Plan (AOP). The successful candidate will drive growth by extending depot and engineering capabilities with existing customers into new customer engagement strategies, manage EDS Business Development & Capture including pipeline management and proposal generation, and ensure adherence to program area capital/investment requirements, schedules, costs, milestones and technical performance. The EDS Associate Director will work with DoD customers to address programmatic concerns and foster strong working relationships with EDS PMs. Responsibilities

Accountable for the EDS program area in its entirety, including growth strategy, bookings, revenue, profitability, on-time delivery and technical performance. Lead the growth and development of supervised Program Managers. Chair internal PMRs and participate in PMRs/TIMs with customers and subcontractors. Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate support for EDS programs. Drive establishment of new customers in similar or adjacent markets. Represent the company to senior customers to foster open dialogue and identify growth opportunities. Prepare and/or review status briefings for VP/O-6 or higher in collaboration with others. Own proposals, Earned Value (EV) and Estimates at Complete (EAC) within EDS. Develop EDS Risks and Opportunities and review program Risks and Opportunities. Elevate issues to appropriate levels within the business as needed and delegate tasks to functional leads. Monitor program area financial and performance status with the Financial lead. Develop customer, competitor, and market understanding across USG and industry customers. Conduct primary and secondary research to identify customer needs and generate business leads. Oversee multi-level customer contact plans and apply consultative selling techniques. Work with capture managers to support capture and proposal processes and ensure smooth transition to Program Manager. Collaborate with other program managers to support executing programs. Travel 25–50% domestically as required. Required Qualifications/Skills

Ten (10)+ years of relevant work experience. Ten (10)+ years in DoD program management or IPT leadership. Ten (10)+ years leading a cross-functional team. Bachelor’s degree or ten (10) years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Entrepreneurial mindset with experience growing and executing business, programs, or teams. Demonstrated innovative thinking to support business objectives. Experience leading development teams and system requirements management. Experience with scheduling, EVMS, financial systems, program control, and risk & opportunity management. Strong ethical values and effective communication skills (oral, written, and presentations). Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (US citizen). Desired Qualifications/Skills

Experience on DoD Depot, Refurbishment, or Repair programs. Understanding of DoD 5000 lifecycle model and acquisition processes. Experience with IRAD/CRAD/TD/SDD/EMD programs. Experience with weapon systems or related platforms and depot/sustainment experiences. STEM degree or equivalent experience. Capture and proposal development for DoD contracts with Basis of Estimates. Master’s degree or graduate degree. Education
