Overview

Director, Compliance role for Mastercard Strategic Growth (MSG). Active participation in the development and implementation of a robust compliance program for the MSG business, including day-to-day management and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities

Develop relationships and work cross-functionally across the business, legal, regulatory, franchise and subject matter experts to identify, assess and mitigate potential Compliance risks pertaining to MSG businesses (e.g. AML, Sanctions, Licensing, government and strategic partners). Perform comprehensive due diligence in accordance with MSG and Mastercard procedures on prospective, new and existing MSG participants to ensure compliance with relevant Standards and Policies. Provide support throughout MSG participant and product lifecycles to evaluate and mitigate potential Compliance risks. Navigate different regulatory environments across various geographies. Draft/review compliance provisions to mitigate potential Compliance risks in various agreements and arrangements. Review and analyze local laws and industry standards as they pertain to Compliance matters relevant to MSG products and participants. Support product development processes as it pertains to Compliance, including reviews of market legal scans and clearance of products/enhancements. Work with business and legal teams to develop solutions that meet MSG participant needs while minimizing Compliance risks to Mastercard and ecosystem participants. Document the review and resolution process for each Compliance issue to provide an auditable trail of decisions and actions. Create and deliver educational sessions to reinforce Mastercard’s Compliance principles. Contribute to Compliance Program Risk Assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Establish and maintain Compliance Program tracking and metrics; provide regular reporting to Global Mastercard Compliance. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in MSG Compliance processes leveraging technology and best practices. Direct and oversee regular monitoring of transaction activity including handling L3 escalations with MTS. All About You / Qualifications

Demonstrated success in managing a regulatory compliance program. Experience with AML, Sanctions, Licensing; familiarity with Bureau Van Dijk (BVD) system, Power Automate and Copilot Agents to automate processes. Familiarity with MTS sanction screening process is a plus. Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional banking/financial operations; experience in payments-related and technology services is preferred; experience with international development, governments and multilateral organizations in strategic growth segments/geographies is desirable. Strong judgment, ability to build rapport and drive results at all levels. Ability to work independently or in a team; manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills; ability to influence and negotiate with senior leadership is critical. ACAMS Certification preferred. Limited travel may be required. Corporate Security Responsibility
