As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead medium to large-scale healthcare projects from concept through construction. You’ll apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications. You’ll also manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts. Pre-Design Engineering
Review existing as-built drawings Perform field investigations Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines Coordinate design schedules and deliverables Conduct feasibility studies Prepare schematic designs Design Engineering Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules Design lighting systems and controls Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus Education & Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred LEED Accreditation is a plus PE License is a plus Experience Required
7-10 years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings Ability to lead projects from concept through construction Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards Working Knowledge
AutoCAD required Revit experience preferred California Building Code or Washington Building Code National Electrical Code For California: HCAI/OSHPD experience (a plus) Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus) What sets P2S apart?
