The Construction Superintendent (CS) oversees the safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery of projects, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction. The role requires leadership of craft supervision, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, material handling, reporting, and quality control, with a focus on low-voltage building systems. Core Responsibilities
Ensure project safety compliance and enforce safety policies. Oversee quality control for company and subcontractor work. Develop and implement pre-job and material handling plans. Participate in and manage scheduling processes. Mobilize project resources and supervise company workforce. Hire, train, and evaluate foremen, engineers, and craft personnel. Coordinate subcontractors and lead weekly scheduling meetings. Maintain timekeeping, cost records, and labor/cost control analysis. Expedite vendors and subcontractors; inspect incoming materials. Participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and maintain strong client relations. Maintain project logs and ensure compliance with customer requirements. Must-Have Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in electrical/low-voltage systems. Experience managing/overseeing installation of low-voltage building systems. Supervision experience in: Communications systems installations Outside/inside plant cabling Structured cabling systems Experience in: Security systems integration Audio-visual systems integration Communication systems integration Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business. Professional credentials: PMP or BICSI-RTPM. Additional certifications: BICSI Certified Cable Installer, RCDD. Other professional accreditations: DBIA, LEED. Physical Work Classification & Demands
Classification : Heavy Work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently Exerting up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects Mobility & Movement : Frequent walking on job sites; climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps at various heights; balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, kneeling Manual & Visual Requirements : Grasping and applying pressure with fingers and palms; reading blueprints, measurements, and written communications; operating computers, tablets, phones, calculators, and office equipment; visual acuity sufficient to operate a vehicle and perform site inspections Communication : Frequent verbal interaction with employees, subcontractors, and clients Environmental Exposure : Occasional exposure to high/low temperatures, noise, precipitation, and wind Seniorilty level
