Director - Revenue Strategy role at Virgin Voyages. The Director of Revenue Strategy will shape and drive our revenue strategy. You will be responsible for refining revenue planning models, executing sophisticated forecasting methods, and leading growth initiatives that significantly contribute to the company’s success. This role leads a newly formed group focused on quantitative modeling to support long-term business decisions, pricing innovation, and strategic revenue-generating opportunities. It is a highly strategic role, guiding key strategic planning decisions by accurately forecasting industry trends, organizational headwinds/tailwinds, and macro events affecting the trajectory of the business and industry. This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. Revenue Forecasting Strategy: Own, adjust, innovate, and evolve Virgin Voyages’ complex ticket and onboard revenue forecasting models, considering seasonal, case-based, and macro factors. Work cross-functionally to ensure proper factors (revenue and operational), data, and analytics are included to drive Virgin Voyages’ revenue strategy. Strategic Planning: Prepare, participate in, and drive strategy behind key revenue decisions and longer-term corporate strategy, based on pricing model guidance. Collaborate with the VP, Revenue to communicate and present strategic considerations to the C-Suite and executives for decision-making. Essential Responsibilities: Refine and execute the revenue plan model, focusing on both Ticket and Onboard Revenue. Conduct monthly and quarterly forecasts, analyze revenue trends, and refine methodology. Develop advanced forecasting techniques for future bookings and onboard revenue. Optimize and manage partnerships and programs such as Rate Gain, PlusGrade, and Uplift. Growth Initiatives: Lead growth-driving initiatives such as new itinerary deployment, revenue optimization through fare classes and categorization, and development of back-to-back products. Leadership & Executive Communication: Lead the Revenue Strategy function, with the Revenue Planning Manager reporting in, using a proactive player/coach mentality to drive strategy and advance the core strategic revenue agenda. Communicate and update the broader revenue organization on Revenue Strategy and direction to ensure seamless execution. SuperPowers Required
Experience: 8+ years total experience, including 2+ years in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy. Project or direct experience within the hospitality sector is necessary. Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and quantitative skillset, ability to structure ambiguity through modeling. Deep financial modeling experience with ability to derive analytics and insights from data. Skills: Expert Excel and Tableau; Python a plus. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation); comfortable with internal stakeholders and external audiences. Ability to connect the dots within a complex ecosystem of revenue and costs and produce models to guide decision-making. Leadership: Able to collaborate with senior leaders, consider various viewpoints and trade-offs to maximize revenue outcomes. Capable of working up, down, and across large organizations; effective with all levels from Analysts to C-Suite. Self-motivated, proactive, and action-oriented. Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Math, Economics, or Business focused). MBA preferred. Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events. What Matters To Us
