Overview

Clinical Social Worker I/II role at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The incumbent will be assigned to the Citywide Focus Hong Ling Team, which has a focus on Asian clients. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, responsibilities include tangible case management services, crisis intervention as needed, referrals, client relationship support, and maintaining client records in compliance with California, City, and County requirements. Participation in an interdisciplinary treatment team and attendance at staff meetings and training sessions are expected. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For union-represented positions, placement within the salary range is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities

Provide tangible case management services (e.g., arranging temporary housing, filing for benefits or welfare assistance, scheduling client activities in accordance with psychiatric needs and prescribed care). Provide a supportive relationship to clients and crisis intervention as needed. Make appropriate referrals and maintain client records in compliance with applicable requirements. Participate in an interdisciplinary treatment team and attend staff meetings and training sessions. Required Qualifications

CSW I: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university; registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Intern Marriage Family Therapist (IMFT); and knowledge and abilities essential to the duties of this position. CSW II: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university; licensure requirements or eligibility for licensure as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners; and knowledge and abilities essential to the duties of this position. Valid CA driver license. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others; ability to work in a high-stress, high-volume environment and meet deadlines. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately and be detail-oriented. Ability to prepare written summaries of activities, set priorities, and complete reports within required timeframes. Knowledge of medical and/or psychiatric terminology; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as a team member in a culturally diverse setting; ability to lift 50 lbs and climb stairs. Must be able to pass a background clearance; possess a valid CA driver license. An understanding of mental health issues and sensitivity toward mental health clients; ability to work with clients and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Case Management experience. Preferred Qualifications

Two years working with severely mentally ill adults, the homeless, and dual-diagnosed populations. One year of community-based case management and outreach experience, including to SRO hotels. Prior experience working with Asian clients in community-based case management. Ability to provide therapy and other mental health services in Cantonese or another priority Asian language. Prior related UCSF experience. License/Certification
