Overview
The Digital Marketing & Engagement Specialist supports the delivery of engaging client experiences by helping manage and optimize digital marketing platforms. This entry-level role focuses on email campaign execution, journey coordination, personalization support, and ROI tracking. The specialist collaborates with marketing and CRM teams to ensure that behavioral activity is accurately reflected in segmentation and flows into client journeys, enabling more tailored communications and improved distribution ROI. Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Support & Execution
Assist with building, scheduling and testing email campaigns and journeys in Marketing Cloud. Ensure campaigns follow compliance requirements, branding, and quality standards. Support personalization strategies by applying correct segments, filters, and triggers to client journeys. Monitor campaign performance and assist in preparing reports that show engagement and ROI impact.
Coordination with CRM & Web Personalization Teams
Validate that segmentation criteria reflect the latest client behaviors and align with campaign objectives. Coordinate with internal teams to troubleshoot data or segmentation issues that impact journeys.
Data Quality & Segmentation
Support ongoing data integrity by assisting with data cleansing, uploads, and audits for marketing campaigns. Apply segmentation rules that ensure communications are relevant, targeted, and effective. Maintain accuracy of reporting fields that track client engagement and campaign outcomes Serve as a marketing support contact for campaign execution and journey setup questions. Document repeatable campaign processes, QA checklists, and segmentation best practices. Participate in cross-team meetings to stay aligned on client experience goals. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing support, email campaign execution, or marketing operations (internship or entry-level role acceptable). Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, etc.). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn technical systems. Basic HTML and in-line CSS for email formatting with QA. Strong communication skills with a client-focused, service-oriented mindset. Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Salesforce Personalization concepts. Experience with email testing, QA, or segmentation. Understanding of data privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.). Client Experience Focus: Supports strategies that improve personalization and engagement. Collaboration: Works closely with CRM, marketing, and sales to ensure journeys align with business needs. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in segmentation, testing, and reporting. Growth Mindset: Eager to learn new tools and best practices in digital marketing. Dependability: Provides consistent support for campaign execution and team initiatives.
