New York or Remote - Seasonal Tax Manager, FSO Insurance EY's National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national, and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international tax planning and advisory services. Our Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice within NTD assists companies with financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls testing. With over ten years of experience, we manage complex global tax reporting needs responsibly and proactively. Your Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Manager, you'll provide clients with tax guidance related to tax accounting and planning, including internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation. You'll also assist with tax provision preparation, review processes for efficiency and accuracy, and assess tax risk and control environments, including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. Tax Accounting Projects and Consulting Tax Provision Preparation and Review Process and Controls Enhancement Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Remediation Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership At least 5 years of experience in professional services, tax organizations, law firms, or IRS Broad understanding of federal income taxation Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ASC 740, IAS 12, corporate tax planning, and compliance. Broad exposure to federal income taxation in business or industry is a plus. What We Look For
